November - Give Thanks & Reflect

October was an awesome month for All About the Benjamins. I kept my promises to myself and my readers...I offered seasonal recipes, festive haunted Halloween freebies and stuck to my writing schedule. I've been working on my social media presence, tweeting, facebooking, instagramming and updating my stories more, to keep my readers satisfied, especially on days that I'm not writing. With my remaining 5 minutes everyday, I sleep until my alarm goes off and I start over again. With a nice back-log of ideas and posts, November should continue to be an awesome month of recipes, Thanksgiving inspiration and fall fashion. For that I am thankful!

The fall weather is finally showing its blustery face here in the Northeast, with frosty nights. The sun is setting earlier each day and rising later every morning. The brisk autumn mornings have been great for wrapping up in the blankets, grabbing a warm cup of tea or coffee and reading until the rest of the house wakes up. This quiet time is my favorite for reading, reflecting and working on me. Tis the season afterall. Cozy up, grab a Abby's Peppermint Mocha Latte or Abby's Cozy Chai Tea Latte and give thanks!

What I'm Reading

Where I'm Going

  • Breweries, Orchards, Vineyards, Oh My
Thanks to Groupon I have some great outings planned coming up!
  • Chicago
We're headed back to Chicago to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday over Thanksgiving! We're excitedly counting down the days to take-off!

What I'm Doing

  • Crocking November...no that's not a typo, I'm crock potting more this month, especially vegetarian recipes to make for easy evenings and minimal dishes after work! If successful, look for posts. If disastrous, look for Instagrams!
  • Experimenting with Thanksgiving-friendly crock pot and make-ahead recipes with seasonal fruits and veggies. Like my Halloween series, expect something similar leading up to Thanksgiving!
  • Working with spices of the season to mix up my morning coffee routine at home, on the cheap. Keep an eye out for pumpkin spice recipes at home.
  • Swapping my shorts for my sweaters and purging what summer wear I didn't wear (before hauling it into the attic).
  • Updating my Happy Planner for November.
