Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid - My Latest VoxBox Review

I have been a member of Influenster since February and have received VoxBoxes for a few campaign now. I recently received the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid VoxBox, which included two samples (Nude Flush and Rebel Red). I received the samples in exchange for spreading the word about the product and writing honest reviews.

I have been a fan of matte lip color since being introduced to it by a close friend a year ago. I tend to gravitate towards matte lip crayons for their convenience and user friendly application. I received a sample of Maybelline New York Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid in Nude Flush from Influenster to try out. The color in the tube is a little more beige than it appears on screen. I was pleasantly surprised at the natural light pink color when applied. It went on smooth and absorbed and dried quickly. The applicator is bigger than others I've used. It is longer and more rectangular, but it allows you to get your whole lip covered in color in one pass. This color does not boast any sort of long wear or all day wear. I applied it before work and my morning coffee to put it to the test. I was pleasantly surprised after lunch time (6 hours later) to still see a hint of pink. The lingering color withstood eating and drinking throughout the morning. It did leave my lips a little dry, but that is true of any matte color. As a woman in my late 20's, I tend to associate lip gloss with my younger years of exploring makeup and learning the ins and outs. Recently, I have gravitated towards lip crayons for their simplicity. The Maybelline New York Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid has given me an interest in re-exploring glosses and liquids of 2016.

I received this product for free from Influenster to test in exchange for my unbiased review. My opinion is 100% my own - good or bad.
