See how she takes back her life and makes the most out of the cards she was dealt.

Earth Day is this Sunday, April 22nd. Are you looking for a way to green your routine? Personally, I have found that making changes to my habits are the most effective. By swapping out products that I use consistently for more eco-friendly, I can make a long term difference. For instance, I try to donate gently used clothing and household items, rather than send them off to the landfill. I also have been making an effort to replace household cleaning products with greener, chemical-free versions like Seventh Generation detergents, pods and cleaning products. I carry my own shopping bags and turn down plastic. I reuse and recycle the plastic bags that have accumulated around the house.

As part of a contest for Influester, I tried Olay Ultra Moisture Shea Butter Body Wash. I loved it. It's super convenient because you end up moisturizing your skin while you are washing, saving yourself the time and effort after your shower to slather on lotion. For someone like me who is always on the go (and always running late) and loves spending time outdoors, in the water and in the sun, this is perfect for me. I hate wasting time to apply my body body butter after my shower and pay the price with dry skin later. Olay Ultra Moisture Shea Butter Body Wash helps to cut down on the lotion that I need, the time spent applying it, and eliminates that slimy feeling from getting in the water after lathering up.  Plus, it smells great, washes well, leaves no residue and lathers up like a dream.

Seventh Generation Natural Laundry Detergent - Review

I received a sample of Seventh Generation Natural Laundry Detergent Free & Clear from the GenerationGood Forum. I was originally very hesitant to try a chemical free detergent, assuming there was no way it could handle my laundry, especially my dog's laundry. Spoiler Alert...I'm a believer!

Terra's Kitchen - Our First Vessel

I spend evenings private tutoring once or twice a week after work. This means that I don't usually walk in the door until 7 PM, meaning dinner doesn't hit the table til 7:30 (if we're lucky). Ross knows his way around the kitchen, but most of the recipes we eat are foods I grew up helping cook and the recipes exist in my head. #ComeClean with Seventh Generation

I received a coupon to try Seventh Generation laundry detergent, which is free of artificial brighteners, dyes and scents, through their online community Generation Good. I started out very skeptical of this brand, especially when it came to some of the heavy duty laundry loads that come through my washing machine...like dog blankets and bedding, rags, towels and workout clothes.  Anything the dogs touch becomes engulfed in a cloud of fur, and this time of year, dirt.
