February is all about love and marriage at All About the Benjamins. Ross and I have lived through a year and a half of wedded bliss after dating for five years. After 6 and a half years together (whoa, time flies), Valentine's becomes less about things and more about experiences. Ross and I have come to enjoy travelling and experiencing our hometown and state together. This year, money is tight, but thanks to the robots trolling my search engine history, I received an email this morning about a Living Social deal at a charming Jersey Shore bed and breakfast that I was Googling last night...how ironic. Since Valentine's lands on a Tuesday, how sexy, we will be celebrating bit by bit throughout the month.
- Weekend 1: I'll be cooking up some of our favorite brunch recipes (bloody marys, anyone?) for a weekend at home and finishing up my V-Day DIY's. Look out for recipes and how-to posts, perhaps even some gift tips! (I'll have to brainstorm keeping this one a secret...
Ross, hand over your phone, computer...shit, its 2017, I'm going to have to get more creative) - Weekend 2: We will be headed down to Spring Lake for our romantic weekend getaway. Check for back for some winter-friendly date night fashion.
- Weekend 3: We will be hanging at home, relaxing Post-Valentine's. Look out for some of my wedding DIY and for anyone who eloped over the holiday, my step by step guide to changing your name after tying the knot.
- Weekend 4: Happy Birthday, Dad. We will round out the month with a birthday celebration for my dad. Time to test out my new Russian piping tips for some cupcakes!
